Go Bananas.

Bananas are used as a binding and emulsifying ingredient in many smoothies, and give your smoothie that creamy texture, without imposing a strong taste.

They are loaded with vitamin B6, essential in keeping your lymphatic system healthy and enabling it to produce white blood cells. They are high in potassium and low in sodium.

Your body needs potassium to help in balancing electrolytes, especially after workouts, and in working to boost your immune system. Bananas also help maintain normal blood pressure and are a good source of dietary fiber.

They really pack a punch whenever you eat them! So, how can you make the most of the bananas that you have, regardless of how ripe they are?

Green bananas, no problem!

Ripen them up in just 2 days by placing them in a paper bag with a couple of apples. Apples release a gas that causes bananas to ripen quickly.

Bunch of ripe bananas?

Don’t make the dark or bruised peel deter you from using them. They are at their peak of flavor and sweetness. Puree them and freeze portions in ice cube trays or slices to have them ready for your next smoothie.

Dont delay and blend up a storm right away with these recipes:

For all of the recipes below, combine all ingredients with the exception of the frozen banana slices in your BEVVO and blend until mixture is pureed.  Add frozen banana slices and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
